Slow Cooker Cheesy Bacon Ranch Chicken

Slow Cooker Cheesy Bacon Ranch Chicken

There’s something magical about slow cooker dinners—the kind you set in the morning and forget about until the whole house fills with the smell of comfort. This Slow Cooker Cheesy Bacon Ranch Chicken is one of those meals that makes everyone gather around the table a little quicker.

I first made it on a busy weeknight when I needed something hearty but easy, and it instantly became a family favorite. The chicken comes out so tender it practically falls apart, and when you mix it with smoky bacon, creamy ranch, and gooey cheese, it’s like comfort food heaven in every bite. Serve it over rice, pasta, or even tucked into sandwich rolls—it’s guaranteed to disappear fast!

📝 Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, for thinning sauce)

  • Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish

🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken: Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.

  2. Mix the sauce: In a bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and ranch seasoning. Spread this mixture over the chicken.

  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender.

  4. Shred & stir: Shred the chicken right in the slow cooker and stir it into the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, stir in a splash of milk.

  5. Add the good stuff: Mix in half the shredded cheddar and half the crumbled bacon. Sprinkle the rest on top. Cover for 5–10 minutes, until the cheese melts.

  6. Serve: Garnish with parsley or green onions. Serve over rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, or on buns as sandwiches.

💡 Notes

  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or mozzarella if you want a different cheesy kick.

  • Use turkey bacon for a lighter version.

  • Leftovers keep well and make an amazing filling for wraps or quesadillas.
