Slow Cooker Amish Ham and Green Beans

Slow Cooker Amish Ham and Green Beans

There are few dishes that say “home” like this Slow Cooker Amish Ham and Green Beans. It’s Amish-style cooking, so it’s all about simple ingredients, slow cooking and rich, satisfying flavor.

In many homes it was made to add warmth to the table without too much fuss. Fresh green beans, savory ham and a little broth made something hearty and delicious. The slow cooker is a great way to continue that tradition, letting the flavors develop over time.

As the beans cook, they become tender and absorb the smoky flavor of the ham, making for a dish that’s simple and full of depth. It is perfect as a side dish or even as a light main course when you’re looking for something easy and comforting.
