There’s something so comforting about a dinner that cooks quietly all day while life keeps moving. This recipe came from one of those mornings when I needed something hearty but had no time to stand at the stove. I layered the stuffing in the slow cooker, set the pork chops right on top, and hoped for the best. Hours later, the house smelled like a Sunday supper—warm, savory, and familiar. The stuffing had soaked up every bit of flavor, the pork chops were fork-tender, and suddenly a simple four-ingredient meal felt like something special. This is the kind of dinner that slows everyone down, gathers them at the table, and reminds you why comfort food never goes out of style.
Ingredients (4 total)
4 bone-in or boneless pork chops
1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1½ cups water
Instructions
Lightly grease the slow cooker.
Mix stuffing mix with water directly in the slow cooker.
Spread stuffing evenly to form a bed.
Place pork chops on top of the stuffing.
Spoon cream of chicken soup over the pork chops.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until pork is tender.
Serving Ideas
Serve with green beans, peas, or carrots
Add a side salad or applesauce for a classic comfort combo
Note
For extra flavor, lightly season the pork chops with salt and pepper before placing them on the stuffing. Thicker chops work best to stay juicy during slow cooking.
