This ridiculously easy 2-ingredient pork verde is a weeknight lifesaver! Just toss everything into the slow cooker and let it work its magic. You’ll end up with tender, flavorful pork perfect for tacos, burrito bowls, or sandwiches—minimal effort, maximum flavor.
Ingredients:
2–3 pounds pork shoulder (or pork butt)
1 jar (16 oz) salsa verde (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
Place pork in your slow cooker.
Pour salsa verde over the pork, making sure it’s well coated.
Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours or High for 4–5 hours, until pork is very tender and easy to shred.
Shred pork with two forks right in the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
Serve in tacos, over rice, or with warm tortillas.
Note:
Want to level it up? Add a chopped onion, a few garlic cloves, or a squeeze of lime at the end for extra flavor—but it’s delicious with just the two ingredients!
