Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced (or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir until well combined.

  1. Place the chicken thighs or breasts in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over the chicken.
  2. Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours or on high heat for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  3. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and set aside.
