Crockpot Ranch Chicken and Potatoes

Here’s a simple recipe for Crockpot Ranch Chicken and Potatoes:


  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, diced
  • 1 packet (1 oz) of ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


  • Place diced potatoes at the bottom of your crockpot.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them on top of the potatoes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ranch seasoning mix and chicken broth. Pour this mixture over the chicken and potatoes.
  • Cover the crockpot with its lid and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are tender.
  • Once the chicken and potatoes are cooked, remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot.
  • Stir in sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese until everything is well combined and the cheese is melted.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve warm and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
