4-Ingredient Creamy Swiss Chicken Bake

Some of the best casseroles are the ones that come together with almost no effort — the kind you can assemble in minutes and slide into the oven while you finish up the rest of your day. This Creamy Swiss Chicken Bake is exactly that kind of recipe. It reminds me of those classic family dinners where comfort food didn’t need a long ingredient list to taste amazing.

The first time I made this, I needed something simple but cozy. I had chicken breasts in the fridge, a few pantry staples, and a pack of Swiss cheese slices that needed to be used. I layered everything together, popped it in the oven, and hoped for the best. What came out was tender, juicy chicken covered in melted Swiss cheese and a creamy, savory sauce that tasted like it took much more effort than it actually did.

It’s the kind of dish that feels a little old-fashioned in the best way — warm, creamy, and perfect served over rice or alongside buttery vegetables.

🛒 Ingredients (4 Ingredients)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 4–6 slices Swiss cheese

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

  • 1 cup seasoned stuffing mix (dry)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Arrange chicken breasts evenly in the baking dish.

  3. Place Swiss cheese slices over each piece of chicken.

  4. Spread the cream of chicken soup evenly over the cheese.

  5. Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix over the top.

  6. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.

  7. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is lightly golden.
