This banana foster pudding comes together with just five simple ingredients, yet delivers a flavor worthy of a fancy restaurant. Perfect for when you want to impress without fuss, it’s comfort and indulgence in one cozy dish.
Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas, sliced
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix, prepared per package directions
Instructions:
Layer the bananas: Place the sliced bananas in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Make the caramel base: In a bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until combined.
Pour and cook: Pour the mixture over the bananas. Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours, until bananas are soft and syrupy.
Add pudding: Prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions.
Serve: Spoon warm bananas foster over pudding and enjoy immediately.
Note:
For extra flavor, add a splash of dark rum or rum extract to the caramel mixture before cooking — it gives a more authentic Bananas Foster taste. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat.
