Slow Cooker Swiss Chicken Casserole

📝 Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 6 slices Swiss cheese

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

  • ÂĽ cup milk

  • 1 ½ cups herb-seasoned stuffing mix

  • ÂĽ cup (½ stick) butter, melted

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Layer the Chicken:
    Lightly spray your slow cooker with cooking spray. Place chicken breasts in the bottom. Season with a bit of salt and pepper.

  2. Add the Cheese:
    Layer slices of Swiss cheese directly over the chicken.

  3. Mix the Soup & Milk:
    In a small bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup and milk. Pour evenly over the cheese layer.

  4. Top with Stuffing Mix:
    Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix over the top. Drizzle melted butter over the stuffing.

  5. Cook:
    Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours, or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.

  6. Serve:
    Scoop a portion of the chicken with the cheesy stuffing topping and garnish with parsley if desired. Pair with green beans, salad, or steamed veggies.

  • For extra creaminess, stir in ÂĽ cup sour cream to the soup mixture.

  • You can substitute Swiss cheese with provolone or mozzarella if you prefer a milder flavor.
