Looking for a rich, hearty meal that’s easy to make? This Slow Cooker Spaghetti Bolognese is the perfect comfort food! Let your slow cooker do the work while the flavors blend into a delicious, savory sauce. Serve it over pasta for a cozy and satisfying dinner. 🍝✨
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ cup beef broth or red wine
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp sugar (optional, balances acidity)
- 8 oz spaghetti, cooked separately
Instructions:
- Brown the beef – In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add to slow cooker – Transfer beef mixture to the slow cooker.
- Mix in sauces & seasonings – Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, broth (or wine), Worcestershire sauce, and sugar. Stir well.
- Cook low & slow – Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- Serve – Cook spaghetti separately and serve with the sauce. Top with Parmesan cheese if desired!
Note: For extra depth of flavor, you can sauté the tomato paste with the beef before adding it to the slow cooker. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more broth or water. Leftovers taste even better the next day and can be frozen for up to 3 months! 🍝😊
