Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops

Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops

There’s nothing better than coming home to the comforting aroma of a home-cooked meal, and these Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops are the perfect solution for a cozy dinner. Tender pork chops simmer slowly in a creamy, cheesy sauce with a hint of onion flavor, making every bite rich and satisfying. Add some hash browns or sliced potatoes underneath, and you’ve got a hearty one-pot meal the whole family will love — all with minimal prep!

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

  • 1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

  • 1 bag (approx. 4-5 cups) frozen hash browns or sliced potatoes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Optional Step: Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray. Place the hash browns or sliced potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker for a full meal.

  2. Lay the pork chops on top of the potatoes.

  3. In a bowl, mix the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and pepper.

  4. Pour the mixture over the pork chops.

  5. Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese over everything.

  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until pork chops are tender.

  7. Serve hot — great with a side of green beans or a salad.

Note:
For extra flavor, you can lightly brown the pork chops in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker. Also, if you prefer a thicker sauce, leave the lid off for the last 30 minutes of cooking or stir in a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a bit of cold water.
