Looking for an easy yet elegant main dish that practically cooks itself? This Slow Cooker Apricot Dijon Spiral Ham is the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory. The ham stays juicy and tender in the slow cooker while the apricot-Dijon glaze adds a deliciously sticky coating full of flavor. It’s a no-fuss recipe that’s great for holidays, Sunday dinners, or whenever you want to impress without the stress!
Ingredients:
1 fully cooked spiral ham (6–8 lbs)
1 cup apricot preserves
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (optional, for a tangy touch)
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (optional for added depth)
Instructions:
Prep the glaze:
In a small bowl, mix together the apricot preserves, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and (optional) vinegar and cloves. Set aside.Place ham in slow cooker:
Put the spiral ham in your slow cooker cut-side down. If it’s too tall for the lid, you can trim it a little or cover the top with foil before placing the lid.Add glaze:
Pour or brush the apricot-Dijon mixture all over the ham, making sure it seeps between the slices.Cook low & slow:
Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours, or until warmed through and the glaze is sticky and caramelized. Baste with the juices halfway through if you’d like extra flavor.Serve:
Slice and spoon the glaze from the bottom of the slow cooker over the top. So good!
Note:
If your ham is too large for the lid to close completely, simply cover the top tightly with foil before placing the lid on top. Also, since spiral hams are pre-cooked, you’re just warming it through and infusing it with flavor—avoid overcooking to keep it juicy!
