Chicken Française Recipe
⭐ Servings: 4
⏳ Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved into cutlets)
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
¼ cup milk
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup dry white wine (optional, or use more broth)
¼ cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions:
Prep the Chicken – Pound the chicken cutlets slightly for even thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
Dredge – Place flour in a shallow dish. In another dish, whisk eggs with milk. Dredge each cutlet in flour, then dip into the egg mixture.
Cook – Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce – In the same skillet, add wine (or broth), chicken broth, and lemon juice. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Finish – Add remaining butter, return chicken to the pan, and simmer for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.
Serve – Plate the chicken and spoon the sauce over the top. Serve with pasta, rice, or vegetables.
📌 Note: For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine 🍷 to the sauce. If you prefer a thicker sauce, whisk in a teaspoon of cornstarch mixed with water. Serve immediately for the best taste! 😋🍋✨
