8 oz (about 227g) spaghetti noodles
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced (rotisserie chicken works well)
can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chicken broth or water
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)


Preheat your oven to 340°F (180°C). Grease an 8×12-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Cook the spaghetti until it is completely al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add green pepper, chopped onion and minced garlic. Fry it until the vegetables are tender.

Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, condensed cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and chicken broth or water. Mix well to combine the sauces and create a creamy mixture.

Add the shredded chicken, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper to the sauce mixture. Stir until everything is evenly combined.

Add the cooked spaghetti noodles to the sauce mixture and toss them until they are well coated with the sauce.

Spread half of the chicken spaghetti mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the first layer of spaghetti.

Layer the remaining half of the chicken spaghetti mixture on top.

Finish by sprinkling the rest of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil, making sure it’s tightly sealed.

Bake the Chicken Spaghetti Casserole in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top.

Once the casserole is done, let it cool slightly before serving.
