Egg rolls recipe

Sure! Here’s a recipe for egg rolls:

  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken or pork
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Water (for sealing the wrappers)
  • Sweet chili sauce or plum sauce (for dipping)

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken or pork, cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  2. Take one egg roll wrapper and place it in a diamond shape on a clean surface or cutting board. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the center of the wrapper.
  3. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, tucking it in tightly. Fold the left and right corners towards the center, creating an envelope shape. Moisten the top corner of the wrapper with water and roll it up tightly to seal the egg roll. Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  1. In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to around 350°F (175°C). Carefully add a few egg rolls at a time into the hot oil, seam side down. Fry them for about 3-4 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through for even browning.
  2. Once the egg rolls are cooked, remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon or tongs, and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  3. Serve the egg rolls warm with sweet chili sauce or plum sauce for dipping. They can be enjoyed as an appetizer or as part of a meal with rice and stir-fried vegetables.

Enjoy your homemade egg rolls!
