Broccoli casserole, chicken, rice and cheese

Here’s a recipe for Broccoli Casserole with Chicken, Rice, and Cheese:


  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed or blanched
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they become fragrant and translucent.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked rice, steamed broccoli, sautéed onion and garlic mixture, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk until well combined.
  5. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken, rice, and broccoli mixture, and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Spread half of the mixture into the greased baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Repeat with the remaining mixture and cheese.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
  10. Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
