Apple Pie Bread

Sure! Here’s a recipe for Apple Pie Bread:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups peeled, cored, and chopped apples (about 2 medium-sized apples)

For the streusel topping:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cubed

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. You can use an electric mixer or do it by hand with a wooden spoon.
  4. Add the eggs to the butter-sugar mixture one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the sour cream. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

  1. Gently fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  2. In a small bowl, prepare the streusel topping by combining the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add the cold, cubed butter and use a fork or your fingers to cut it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the streusel topping over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and streusel.
  4. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean. If the top starts to brown too quickly, you can tent it with aluminum foil.

  1. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Enjoy your delicious Apple Pie Bread!
