Crispy Cheddar Chicken

Sure! Here’s a recipe for Crispy Cheddar Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. In another shallow bowl, beat the eggs. In a third shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Take each chicken breast and dip it first into the flour mixture, coating it evenly. Shake off any excess flour. Then dip the chicken into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb and cheese mixture, pressing lightly to make sure it adheres well.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the breaded chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. You may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your skillet.

  1. Transfer the browned chicken breasts to the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, and honey until well combined.
  3. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve the crispy cheddar chicken with the sauce on the side or drizzled over the top.
