- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, onion, green bell pepper, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the mixture in a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a baking sheet.
- Bake the meatloaf for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Optional: Top with ketchup, tomato sauce or barbecue sauce before baking for added flavor.
