The best steak marinade

Here’s a recipe for the best steak marinade:


  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, honey, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Place your steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it’s completely coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  1. When ready to cook, remove the steak from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  2. Preheat your grill, skillet or oven to high heat. Grill or cook the steak for 4-6 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
  3. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
