Here’s a recipe for Orange Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting:

For the Orange Brownies:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined.
  4. Add in the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition.

  1. Add the orange zest and orange juice to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  2. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. While the brownies are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
  5. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and orange zest to the bowl and beat until well combined.

  1. Once the brownies are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the top of the brownies, using a spatula to smooth it out.
  3. Refrigerate the brownies for at least 30 minutes to allow the frosting to set.
  4. Cut the brownies into squares and serve. Enjoy!

Note: You can also add some chopped nuts, such as pecans or walnuts, to the batter for extra texture and flavor.
